The Labour Museum & SIPTU  are seeking volunteers to work on producing a  panelled tapestry   which will commemorate  the 1913 Lockout.     It is hoped that this art piece will be made as a joint project with craft groups and skilled individuals and the piece will become a public piece of art

Guild Membership

                                            

The Irish Guild of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers are always keen to welcome new members at any level.

Beginners will find lots of information about how and where to get started and for those at more advanced stages there are many opportunities within the Guild to pursue their interests further.

There are a number of regional groups around the country who meet regularly.

The Guild offers support and encouragement to weavers, spinners and dyers at all stages and for those at a professional level we give a voice and a platform to speak on your behalf at national level.

Members can put their profile up on this site and have their work included in the gallery section.

All members receive regular newsletters with current information about what is happening both at home and abroad, including exhibitions, competitions, courses, news and reviews, and our buy and sell section.

We also circulate a comprehensive list of suppliers with everything you might need, from spinning wheels to fleeces, yarns, dyes, weaving looms and lots more.
