I
was born in Hungary, studied folk art and crafts in Budapest, where
I specialised in weaving. I live and work in Cork since 1997.
I use my own hand spun and hand dyed yarn, such as wool, silk, angora,
cotton and linen, besides commercial yarn in my tapestries and interior
pieces such as rugs, cushions, tea cosies and coffee cosies.
My
design and technique is based on the traditional Hungarian Festékes
rug weaving and also inspired by ancient textiles such as Anatolian
Kilims.
